FAQs

My earliest memories are of digging in our backyard with my brother — learning the names of plants and watching things grow. I was raised by a mother who built her life around education and a father who studied the genetics of plants, and that devotion to the earth, to curiosity, to learning, to the aliveness of living things, has never left me. California has always been home, and through all its seasons — the expansions and contractions, the learning and the loss — one thing was always constant: a deep, abiding fascination with the human experience.

And so for 12 years, I decided to build a career in Human Resources — as an HR Business Partner and People & Culture leader at companies like Credit Karma — working inside organizations with impactful missions, alongside people I genuinely cared about.

This work was fulfilling – I felt lit up by the shared values, the innovative work we were doing in the people space, and the impact for our members. But I became focused on doing, on achieving, on hustling as part of the tech world I was working in. And despite the external successes people saw, underneath all of the doing, something quieter was happening inside me. A voice asking: what makes you happy?

And then a few years ago, the stress of the work started showing up in my body — heart palpitations, vision spots, my nervous system completely dysregulated. I felt alone and scared and didn’t know where to turn; I hadn’t yet found my internal safe harbor to soothe myself. After tests came back clear, I realized: nothing was medically wrong. My body was telling me something needed to change. An alarm system giving me the signal that it was no longer going to allow me to bypass the messages.

Over time — through my own therapy, meditation, somatic practices and embodied dance, through moments of sitting still long enough to actually listen — I began to find my way back to myself and the natural world.

I discovered what it means to make decisions from a place of inner alignment rather than obligation. To meet decisions with presence rather than pressure. To trust my intuition as a compass. To step out into the redwood forest and hear the messages waiting for me to receive. And everything — my relationships, my work, my sense of self — began to shift. And where my belief in the quote below rooted within me:

“When things change inside you, things change around you.”

With my experience in human resources as my anchor, and now trained as a Co-Active coach, I walk alongside others to align their internal compass with the external landscape they are navigating. My mission statement is unwavering: To guide others to the shores of embodied presence, conscious leadership, and inspired action as a conduit for personal and leadership growth.
